HUMAN AFTER ALL? What happens to music when machines start to create it? And more importantly, does it still feel the same? As part of an ongoing graduation project, this panel explores the role of AI within underground music culture. Not from a hype perspective, but from within the scene itself, where questions around authenticity, transparency, and creative control actually matter. Together, we open up a conversation on how AI is already shaping music, how it might evolve, and whether it can exist alongside the human elements that define music culture. On May 1st, OG Karin takes the floor for an all-night long set of rhythmic, percussive, and groove-driven music, from 21:00 to 03:00. Based in Rotterdam, with roots from the Dominican Republic and Indonesia. Passionate about and dedicated to music both as a DJ and on the dancefloor. OG Karin unites sounds from different genres and finds commonality in rhythmic, percussive-led tracks with raw sounds, infused with some groove and sensuality. During her sets, she weaves between intensity and patience, keeping the dancefloor on edge with tranquil interludes and experimental diversions, whilst maintaining the dancefloor drive. Her energy behind the decks is calm yet reckless, giving the crowd sets that are filthy, powerful, and playful, and will make even the shiest dancers move, whether it’s at closing or warm up.
KLASTR is a queer-forward night built on contrast and experimentation, featuring a face-to-face format instead of the traditional back-to-back. For the second edition, KLASTR brings together a mix of Rotterdam-based artists - prekeris, DelFuturo, DJ Shahmaran & XAKALELE (Animistic Beliefs) - alongside guests from Porto’s Face Off collective - Paiva and Phaser. Expect a boundary-pushing selection shifting between bass, breaks, IDM, leftfield club and beyond.
Toloka — a cultural fundraiser for Ukraine. On May 10th, Toloka comes to Rotterdam at Time is the New Space — bringing together community, culture, and care. Rooted in a Ukrainian tradition of gathering to support one another, this daytime event invites you to share space through music, a curated market, food, and meaningful connection. All proceeds and donations will go toward supporting Ukraine 🤍

Time is the new space is a base for the creative community to meet and explore, through varied events. Previously known as a podcast studio, but now a place where art and music interact, a place to experiment and discover, from parties, to exhibitions, workshops, tattoo conventions, live bands, and anything you can imagine.
Located in the beloved Schieblock, a corner of the city where art, music and culture prevail and connect, TITNS encapsulates a space where creative symbiosis blooms. As mentioned in the NRC, when writing about TITNS, "[...] now grows a flower from the hard concrete".
To maintain a more respectful and enjoyable space we created a code of conduct applicable to all visitors, staff members, volunteers, artists, partners, online and offline audience and participants.
